The family company's celebration of the inauguration of its new production site in Lavonia will kick off Friday, November 04 with Future Day for local high schools’ students and culminate on Saturday, November 05 with the official inauguration ceremony and a major community event from 11am to 6pm.
"Over 60 years ago, my father, Anton Häring, founded the precision engineering plant in Bubsheim, Germany - his production consisted of no more than 2 automatic cut-off machines in his parents' barn. Today, we employ about 4,400 people at 5 locations on 4 continents. Our American location is a major milestone for the Häring Group and we are looking forward to our future together here in Lavonia," explains President Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Häring, who is looking forward to the Grand Opening ceremony.
The Future Day will kick things off on Friday morning. Around 400 students from the region will be able to spend a special kind of school trip at the globally successful company. In a team challenge, they compete for a trip to Six Flags Theme Park, answer questions about the company and collect points at various stations. "Of course, with this event we want to be remembered by young recruits as an attractive employer and make them aware of the new opportunities with us. We cooperate with schools and universities and provide dual training and apprenticeships. Students spend time both in the classroom and in the company. A particular highlight is the Global Rotational Training Program with our headquarters in Germany, where they can gain international experience. And last but not least, the modern workplace design with state-of-the-art machinery is an important criterion for a solid career start," explains Miriam Häring, President of the Häring Group.
These events will allow students and the community a unique experience to take part in the activities within the manufacturing facility. A large number of activities and infopoints are spread across the entire company premises to provide company insight. Stations that all guests at the Community Event, open to the public, on Saturday can also look forward to: A human foosball table on the company grounds and a fast-paced go-kart course, for example, promise entertainment for the whole family. And those who take the time to visit the infopoints, answer tricky questions in a quiz challenge or take part in a social media photo challenge will also have a chance to win great prizes. Finally, everyone will get to experience some true culinary delights: an international food market with a wide range of products from all five continents where Häring has a location will satisfy both small and large appetites.
"A lot of heart, time and work has gone into this opening ceremony to show the region who we are and what opportunities we offer, especially as an employer. Because our ambition is to put this produc- tion plant independently in the hands of American management personnel. In order to achieve this, we need people from here, committed individuals who have roots in the region or beyond and who are looking forward to a new professional challenge," says President Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Häring, inviting everyone to the inauguration event.
