Once again, Anton Häring KG from Bubsheim was among the recipients of the Premium Supplier Awards, an award of the purchasing cooperation consisting of the companies Continental and Schaeffler that is presented in Frankfurt am Main. As a result, the regional manufacturer of precision turned parts will once again be part of an elite group of 32 premium suppliers of the two companies for the next two years. What is particularly interesting is that Continental and Schaeffler are planning a close partnership with their premium suppliers – primarily in the areas of development and digitization.
"We have been part of the premium supplier circle since 2015. We obviously want to maintain that position and that's why we have to prove ourselves each time during the nomination process," explained Dr. Jürgen Häring, CEO of Anton Häring KG. Among more than 1,200 strategic suppliers, the two companies Continental and Schaeffler recognized the top 32. In the category of turned parts, only four suppliers were able to meet the predefined criteria, which included a suitable product portfolio, a very good quality and delivery performance and global competitiveness. Anton Häring KG and two Asian competitors were among them.
The supplier strategy of Continental and Schaeffler carried particular weight this year in order to ensure success in the future: That is why the automation of driving functions, increased digitization, growing demands on quality assurance and cross-linked, cross-industry cooperation were key challenges that premium suppliers had to be prepared for.
"The fact that we keep earning awards as a supplier in spite of the increasing demands of the industry and the change brought about by digitization is confirmation that we are on the right path. We are ready for the future," summarized Dr. Jürgen Häring. The company had just recently also earned the Bosch Supplier Award for its for outstanding performance in the production and supply of its products.
